For artists

African artists, paid like adults.

We publish per-stream rates every quarter. We pay out monthly, not in 90-day rolling windows. And the artist dashboard ships with the same live data our admins see.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is Free actually free, forever?

Yes. No trial expiry. The full catalog, shuffle play, and personal playlists stay free as long as you want them. Premium just removes ads, unlocks offline, and turns on lossless.

Can I cancel Premium anytime?

Yes — one tap, takes effect at the end of the billing cycle, and you keep Premium until then. We don't ask why, we don't try to talk you out of it.

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, M-Pesa (Kenya, Tanzania, DRC), Airtel Money, MTN Mobile Money, Flutterwave bank transfer (Nigeria), PayPal. New methods roll out by country every quarter.

How does Family work?

One person pays $7.49/mo and adds up to five other people at the same address. Everyone gets their own login, library, playlists, and recommendations. Kids mode is opt-in per account and filters explicit tracks.

Why is Ngoma cheaper than Spotify and Apple Music?

Two reasons. We licence and operate primarily across African markets, where local pricing power is real. And we don't run a podcast division, so we're not subsidising one part of the business with another.

Will my favourite global artists be on Ngoma?

For mainstream global pop and rock, mostly yes — we hold majors licences in our supported regions. We're more selective on long-tail global indie, where we focus catalog spend on African artists first.

I'm an artist. How do I get on Ngoma?

If you already distribute through DistroKid, TuneCore, Believe, or any major distributor, you're probably already on us — sign in to claim your profile. Independent? Apply directly: zero distribution fee, monthly payouts, full dashboard access.
